Retirement math simplified

We use the standard compound future-value formula for monthly contributions, then apply the 4% rule to estimate safe annual withdrawal during retirement. The 4% rule says you can withdraw 4% of your nest egg each year and adjust for inflation, with a 95% chance the money lasts 30+ years. Social Security (if you're in the US) would supplement this — we don't include it here.
