Which platform is right for you?
All four of these secondhand marketplaces take a commission on each sale, but their fee structures differ. Vinted runs on a small fixed fee (no commission), which makes it cheapest for low-priced items. Depop and Mercari each take about 10% plus payment processing. Grailed sits in the middle. Vinted generally has the lowest commission among the four (a small fixed + buyer protection fee, not a percentage), but its buyer pool is mostly Europe. Depop charges about 10% plus payment processing. Mercari and Grailed each take 10% plus payment processing, with Grailed often slightly higher. Pick based on your category, not fee alone.
Do these platforms also charge the buyer?
Depop and Vinted add a buyer-protection fee on top of the seller's fees. Mercari and Grailed generally do not. Total cost to the buyer = listing price + buyer fee, but only the seller's fees are subtracted from your payout in this calculator.
