How Shopify charges
Each plan has a transaction rate (a % plus a fixed $0.30 per online order in the US) when you use Shopify Payments. If you bring your own payment gateway, Shopify adds a plan-specific surcharge percentage instead of the $0.30 fixed fee.
How Shopify fees work
Monthly subscription (Starter to Advanced, 5-399 per month) plus transaction fees (2.9% + 0.30 for external payments, lower for Shopify Payments). Additional fees apply for gift cards, subscriptions, and marketplace apps.
