Discount Calculator
Work out the price after a percentage discount — or flip it to recover the original price when all you see is the discounted price.
Find the sale price: original × (1 − discount). $80 at 20% off is $64. Recover the original: if a $64 price tag is showing 20% off, the original was $64 ÷ 0.8 = $80 — useful for spotting how genuine a "deal" was.
How discount math works
Sale price = Original price times (1 minus discount percent). Reverse: Original price = Sale price divided by (1 minus discount percent). Stacking discounts multiply, they do NOT add. A 10% then 10% discount equals 19% off total.
